Ohayocon – おはようーコン – أوهايوكون

Ohayocon is a convention focusing on Japanese pop culture, including popular anime and manga fandom. It is traditionally held during the month of January in Columbus, Ohio. Ohayocon was first held in 2001 in Cleveland, Ohio, moving to Columbus in 2003. Ohayocon derives its name from the similarity in pronunciation between “Ohio”, where the con is held, and Ohayo (おはよう, Ohayou), which is Japanese for “Good morning”. With its continued growth, Ohayocon has become the largest winter anime convention in North America.” (Wikipedia, 2011).

I know this is an outdated post, but I’m still interested in blogging this new experience of mine! Back in January 28-30 this year, I FINALLY had the chance to attend a true and real Anime Convention. More

Secret of Mana – 聖剣伝説2 – سر مانا

” Secret of Mana, known in Japan as Seiken Densetsu 2 (聖剣伝説2, Seiken Densetsu Tsū, lit. “The Legend of the Holy Sword 2”), is an action role-playing game (RPG) for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System developed and published by Square in 1993. The game was re-released for the Wii’s Virtual Console in 2008, and was ported to Japanese mobile phones in 2009. Secret of Mana is the sequel to Final Fantasy Adventure for the Game Boy and the second installment in the Mana video game series.   More

PC-FX الحاسب الآلي – أف أكس

      

        PC-FX  is a video game console from NEC that was released in Japan in ’94 with a 32-bit CPU. It plays CD-ROMs, it comes with a keypad and a mouse, there is a memory expansion too! I’ve first knew about it in ’94 from Japanese videogame magazines and I was attracted mostly by its anime-style video games. More

Fūun! Takeshi-jō – Takeshi Castle – 風雲!たけし城 – الحصن

Takeshi’s Castle (الحصن) was a Japanese game show that aired from 1986 to 1989 on the Tokyo Broadcasting System. It featured the Japanese actor Takeshi’s Kitano (also known as Beat Takeshi) as a count who owns a castle and sets up impossible challenges from players to get to him. The show became a cult television hit around the world” From Wikipedia.

Fortunately, the show was dubbed into Arabic by (رياض شرارة) and later on by (جمال ريان). The show is one of my all time favourite tv shows/programs/games! More

Captain Tsubasa – キャプテン翼 – الكابتن ماجد

Captain Tsubasa is a popular Japanese manga, anime and video game series, originally created by Yoichi Takahashi in 1981. The series mainly revovles around the sport of Football.

The story focuses on the adventures of a Japanese youth fotball team and its captain Tsubasa Oozora, whose name literally translates to (Big Sky Wings). More

Chrono Trigger – クロノ・トリガ

Chrono Trigger is a console role-playing game (RPG) developed and published by SquareSoft (now Square Enix) for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1995.”

I won’t go further in describing the game’s story but I’ll just say that Chrono Trigger was and still my favourite RPG game that I have ever played!! More

Blue Seed – ブルー シード

I love this SegaSaturn game/manga/anime. I’ve first played it as a videogame then got to watch it as an anime. It’s an RPG game, I liked how it was enabling me to walk and site-see Japan virtually!! buildings interiors were just similar to the real ones in Japan. I was like let’s play and take a walk in Japan!   More
